'Anglican Social Service Centre / Centre 454', a volunteer assisted day program for street involved people.

The 'Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre' offers a professional service for people with personal, family or marital problems. This is done in a Christian setting and with respect for the spiritual values of those coming to the Centre.

The Well/La Source provides a safe, supportive environment and assists with access to community resources. The Well offers a variety of resources and in-house presentations on issues such as improving one's self image, to how to stop smoking, coping skills and healing from abuse. As well, health professionals are available to provide services to women of The Well.

The 'Cornerstone / Le Pilier' [formerly: 'Women in Crisis'] program operates a shelter at 515 MacLaren Street for homeless women, as well as an emergency shelter that provides accommodation and food for 43 women per day, and also advocates on behalf of this vulnerable group. Volunteers help the women get involved in recreational and skill-building activities and accompany those who need assistance to appointments and activities they could not otherwise access.

Ministry Development

This active committee provides a pastoral care team of some 90 clergy and volunteers at the Ottawa Hospital - Civic Campus. It also organizes basic training and continuing education for team members. The Anglican Team consists of Weekday Visitors who try to meet each Anglican patient, the Sunday Chapel Team who provide a Eucharist Service each Sunday and bedside Communion to those unable to come to Chapel, and an On-Call Team who provide emergency coverage after hours and on weekends.

'Temple Pastures' has been the Diocesan Retreat Centre since 1986, with a ministry in revitalising the Christian practice of meditation.
